The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science is inviting potential applicants to enrol in a new Bachelor’s degree programme. The Communication Technologies and Intelligent Data Processing major appeared in 2020 and will be interesting to those who understand that Industry 4.0 is the future of the modern world.

A special feature of this programme is that it is taught in English. This means that students will become acquainted with new methods and technologies of working with information, leading solutions from market leaders, can study with leading professors, and after graduation will have the necessary skills to work in the world’s leading ICT companies.

“The specialists who are in demand in today’s market are those who know the entire process of obtaining and processing information. This is exactly what we will be teaching the students who choose our new programme. This programme combines both disciplines related to programming and development of software and mobile applications, technologies of obtaining and storing data, machine learning, as well as communication technologies, in particular — mobile and wireless networks, 5G technologies, and data transfer including sensor networks and technologies of the Internet of Things (IoT). And, of course, all lessons will be taught in English. This knowledge will make our students in demand in the labour market,” said the Director of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Candidate of Sciences (Physics and Mathematics), Associate Professor Gleb Radchenko.

The students’ project-based work will be organized at world-class laboratories, like the Samsung Internet of Things Academy, the Emerson Training Centre, the Kaspersky Laboratory Research and Education Centre, and more. These laboratories were founded jointly with the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.

Under the leadership of Franck Leprévost, Professor of the University of Luxembourg (a long-time partner of SUSU), leading specialists from around the world are being brought in to develop the programme and teach the specialized courses — these are leaders in the field of infocommunication technologies.

The leader of the programme from SUSU is the Director of the EECS, Gleb Radchenko.

Students who choose the Communication Technologies and Intellectual Data Processing programme will learn the foundations of the theory of communications, electronics, and the Internet of Things will understand the processes of programming and software development, storage and processing of data, artificial intelligence and neural networks, and will study the concepts of deep learning, data mining, and artificial intelligence.
